On May 11, 2014, VAC members Dan Burchard and Rick Kozlowski competed in the Fiddlehead Canoe Race.

 

The race was head in a long set of Class II/III rapids below the dam in Montpelier, Vermont.  A slalom race -- with roughly 20 gates spread out down the course.

 

Dan & Rick competed in both the solo and tandem open canoe classes.

It was fun, but not particularly pretty.
